The small flood fixture, you can get it in either LED (Light Emitting Diode) or you can get it with a halogen version. In a halogen, up lighting a tree like this you are going to be looking using a 35-watt bulb. If you are using an LED, you will be using a 5 or 7-watt bulb. So, you can see with the LED you’re going to be saving between 70 and 80 percent on energy consumption, same effect, same intensity, and everything.
The small flood fixture here is available in both an aluminum version and a solid brass version. The reason why you would want to pick the aluminum versus the brass would be if you have a lot of mulch in the area you are going to put the fixture in, or the fixture is going to be low down toward into the ground. What’s happens is that as mulch is that it’s rotting and festering, and deteriorating. And, eventually that starts to impede on the finish of the fixture.
Where the brass fixture it will never change, but you may want to use the small flood in the brass version for mulch applications or places where you are going to be in a corrosive environment. Maybe you like near salt water or an area that is more corrosive that would be an application for a brass fixture.
If we are talking just about landscape through plant material or whatever an aluminum fixture will be just fine.
Inconspicuous during the day, indirect and incredible at night.
